Getting hitched

Dev couldn't stop fidgeting. He and Tom were waiting for the marriage commissioner to come get them so she could perform the ceremony in her office. A nice older couple they had met while waiting in line to get their marriage certificate had been kind enough to be their witnesses, and the lady smiled at him.

"Nervous?" she asked.

"Oh, yeah," Dev said, tugging at the sleeves of his suit jacket. "But at least I look good." He glanced at Tom and smiled. "Not as good as you, of course."

"I think we might have stayed a bit longer than is wise already." Tom smiled.

"Yeah, you're probably right," Dev said. "I promise I'll make it up to you."

Tom pulled him in even closer with a wicked gleam in his eyes. "Yes, you will."

Another shiver raced through Dev, and he smiled. "I love it when you're like this," he whispered.

There were times Tom wanted Dev to take complete control, but this wasn't one of them and he gave his husband a wolfish grin. "You know it might just be me keeping you from sleeping this week, sweetheart."

Dev's eyes glimmered and he nodded enthusiastically. "I don't doubt that for a second," he said, his voice eager and breathless.

"You really do love this, don't you?" It wasn't really a question so much as a statement.

Dev nodded, his smile growing brighter. "You don't understand. I've waited my whole life for someone I actually want to take charge and who I know won't take advantage." He gave Tom a kiss. "You're amazing."

"Oh but, baby, I intend to take all kinds of advantage of you this week." Tom leered and waggled his eyebrows.

Dev giggled and hugged Tom tight. "You're perfect, baby."

"Perfectly hungry for you is what I am." Tom mock growled and leaned in to bite very gently at Dev's neck. "But since we don't want to get caught, I guess I'll have to go and satisfy another hunger before I take you back to the hotel."

"Okay, let's eat, then get our rings and see if we can actually make it back to the hotel before fooling around again," Dev said with a grin.

"Bet I can hold out longer than you." Tom teased.

"Is that a challenge," Dev asked. "You know I'm up for it."

Tom brushed a hand against Dev's crotch with a grin. "You usually are."

"How could I not be with you around?" Dev asked, giving Tom another kiss.

"Tempting, little angel, but you will give in first." Tom whispered against Dev's mouth. "Now let's go eat."

"Okay!" Dev said happily. "I'm starving."

Tom laughed, knowing Dev would do anything he could to beat him at this little game. One of the things he loved most about his new husband was that he never gave up on a challenge.

Dev held onto Tom's hand as they left he restroom and went to eat their food. The entire time, he couldn't stop thinking about how much he wanted to get Tom so worked up he'd never make it back to the hotel.

Once they sat down and began eating Tom looked at Dev with a knowing smile. "You're planning something wonderfully naughty, aren't you, sweetheart?"

"Would I do something like that?" Dev asked, smiling and licking his fingers.

Watching that pink tongue flicker out and dance over his husband's finger made Tom want to groan, but he held it in. "Of course, what was I thinking? You'd never do that, being such a sweet saintly type."

"I know, I'm a regular angel," Dev said, reaching to snag a piece of food from Tom's plate. He smiled and made a show of savoring it as he put it in his mouth. "And this is delicious."

Tom picked up a morsel from Dev's plate and ate it slowly, unwilling to admit that his sweetheart was getting to him. "Mmmmm, so is this."
