Tom wrapped an arm around Dev as the woman smiled. "We usually don't take the time, but there's no one else waiting so I suppose we can bend the rules a little."

Tom smiled at the commissioner. "Thank you."

Dev listened as the commissioner started the ceremony, holding both of Tom's hands in his and looking at him with a smile that he was sure was permanently affixed to his face. When it was time for the vows, he took a deep breath and just said what was in his heart.

"Tom, meeting you and becoming friends with you was the best thing that ever happened to me because you made me want to be a better person. Then we fell in love and that was the best thing because you showed me what real love was really all about. And you're a really great kisser." He giggled softly. "Now, here we are. Somehow I've convinced you to spend the rest of your life with me, and I promise you with all the love I have in my heart this very moment, that I am going to make sure you never regret it. I love you."

Tom could almost feel his heart literally swelling it was so full at this moment. With a deep breath, he looked at Dev and didn't even have to try and gather his thoughts.

"Dev, when I met you, I doubted I could ever love again, but first you tempted me out of my self imposed exile and back into life, then you opened your heart and showed me the things you tried so hard to hide from everyone. Thank you for trusting me with who you really are and with your heart and your hand. I promise I will never let go of either one as long as I live and that I will work with you every day on building a life together. You've been my shelter through a pain I was sure would kill me, let me be your shelter as well, sweetheart from whatever life throws at us. I love you, my beautiful wild child, and I never want you to change."

Tears welled up in Dev's eyes, and he barely heard the commissioner ask if they had rings they would like to exchange.

"Oh, yes," he said quickly, reaching into his pocket for the one he wanted to give to Tom. It was a little pink plastic ring with a smiley face on it. "We didn't have time to get to the jeweler," he explained to the commissioner before taking Tom's hand and slipping the ring onto his finger with a grin.

They had picked out the rings separately as some sort silly surprise and Tom had to grin when he pulled out the same ring Dev had given him except in a blue that was almost the same shade as his lover's eyes. "Perfect." He said, so ready for the pronouncement so he could kiss his husband.

Dev laughed when he saw the matching ring and raised Tom's hand to his lips to kiss it.

The commissioner was biting back a laugh as she announced that they were now married. "You may kiss."

Tom swept Dev up into his arms and claimed his lips tenderly, pouring every bit of love he was feeling into one long breathless kiss.

Dev wasn't sure how long he clung to Tom, savoring every second of their first kiss as husbands, but it would never be long enough. He smiled when he heard their witnesses clapping for them, then broke the kiss with a giggle.

"We did it," he whispered, eyes gleaming as he looked at Tom. "How do you feel, Mr. Quinn-Ryan?"

Tom smiled. "Like I own the world, Mr. Quinn-Ryan. How about you?"

"Like I co-own the world with my husband," Dev giggled.

"Oh yeah, I forgot all that what's mine is yours part there." Tom laughed. "Just don't forget, brat, it does not follow that what's yours is yours." He leaned in and kissed Dev again. "I love you, sweetheart."

"I love you," Dev said, holding Tom close to give him a slow, deep kiss. "Now, let's get outta here."

"I think we have to sign the paperwork to make it official first." Tom grinned.

"Okay, but let's make it quick," Dev whispered. "I need to get naked with you."

Tom made quick work of thanking their witnesses and the commissioner while he signed, more than ready to take Dev up on the promise in his eyes. Once Dev and the witnesses had signed as well as the commissioner, Tom grabbed his husband's hand and nearly dragged him from the room. "What time does our plane leave tomorrow?" He asked with a grin. "Because I don't think I'm letting you out of bed until the last possible second."

"We don't take off until 2pm. I figured we'd want to sleep in a little." Dev held tightly to Tom's hand as they made their way outside to their rental car.

Tom grinned. "You're assuming we'll sleep?"

"We'll have to get at least a few minutes in," Dev laughed. "I don't want you going all zombie on me because I didn't let you get your rest."

Tom laughed. "If I turn into a zombie then I'll just have to eat you."

Dev laughed harder. "Hopefully you'll be doing that way before you become a zombie, husband."

Tom leaned over and kissed Dev. "Mmm, I like the sound of that, husband."

"Oh my god, we're married!" Dev squealed, practically bouncing as they reached their car. He threw his arms around Tom and kissed him hard for any onlooker to see.

Tom could have cared less who might be watching as he pulled Dev close and kissed him right back. He'd never been this happy in his entire life and it was all because of the man in his arms.

"Baby," Dev said softly when the kissed ended, "can we get our real rings? I want to fuck you with my wedding band on. Do you mind?"

Tom smiled and gave Dev a little squeeze. "Not at all. Let's go find a jeweler right now."
